Day 01: Fashion Week Heats Up NYC

Bryant Park
NEW YORK, NEW YORK

This winter has really done a number on the East Coast - covering most of New York and surrounding states in a blacket of snow. Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week kicked off last Thur February 11 2010 and will run all the way through the 18th at Bryant Park. Mercedes-Benz debut their sizzling hot SLS AMG and E-Class Cabriolet under the tents - giving attendees some HOT eye-candy to drool over. Keep in mind these cars won't go on sell until Spring 2010, so start saving.

Over 60 plus designers will showcase their fall collections and more than 100,000 attendees expected to fill the tents by the event of Fashion Week. This year's show has a special meaning as it is the last Fashion Week show to be held at the famous Bryant Park before moving to the Lincoln Center in September later this week.

You can cry me a river about that later - lets take a look at the highlights from Day 1 Feb 11th on the catwalk.

Ready for My Close-Up

Louis Vuitton Thailand Offices
BANGKOK, THAILAND

It looks like I've been really dragging my leg around when it comes to updating our blog. Happy Belated 2010 New Year everyone. We'll try our best to keep this blog updated as much as possible, but you can all follow us on "Twitter" to really get an up to the minutue update on the the happenings around our offices in Bangkok Thailand and back home in the states.

Decided on picking up some new things while I was at the store

Today I went by the Louis Vuitton offices to pick up my photo and cd from the previous LV event back in October. Have to say that this was my first in-front of the camera photo shoot for a magazine.

I want to say many THANKS to our friends at LV, Harper Bazaar and Hasselblad and their The H3DII-50(mp) camera.

Louis Vuitton "The Journey"

Gaysorn Fashion Hall
BANGKOK, THAILAND

Time to dust of that LV gear because it's time to attend the Louis Vuitton's "The Journey" photo exhibition sponsored by Harper's Bazaar and Hasselblad at Gaysorn. The wifey just arrived back into town and what a better way to enjoy the evening than going to a Louis Vuitton event, shopping and dinner. Big thanks to Louis Vuitton Thailand for sending over our invitations to the office within such short notice.

Hasselblad had their new H3DII-50 on display for show. Such a sexy camera with 50 megapixels - Nancy from Hasselblad informed me of a trade-in program; maybe it's time to trade in the H1 model. Hmmmmmm. The wifey said she would be fine with such a big purchase if I can justify it for work, but I know I will have to most likely repay that with the Monogram LV Speedy 30 handbag she was eyeing all night.  Haha Personally I was eyeing those Kanye West x Louis Vuitton kicks – camera, shoes, camera shoes, camera, shoes...well the shoes are cheaper than the camera.  ;)

How much is that dog in the LV bag?

Hotness - I want

LV photoshoot for invite guest - waiting for our prints in the mail

Time to smile for the cameras - look who arrived

Coco Avant Chanel S.E Asia Premerie

Emporium Main Hall
BANGKOK, THAILAND

Coco Avant Chanel (Coco Before Chanel), a new film about the legendary Coco Chanel was just released a few weeks ago in Asia. We had the pleasure on attending the S.E Asia Premiere in Bangkok Thailand. Unfortunately the movie isn't set for release in the US until September 25th.

The movie, starring Amélie’s Audrey Tautou, tells the story of Coco Chanel's humble beginnings and how she was able to transform herself into one of the world’s most iconic figures. You can’t forget this is the woman that is credited for the “little black dress” – a staple in today’s women’s wardrobe. The film documents everything from how she learned to sew, to her love life, to how she came to love fashion.

For those who are a lover of fashion – this is the movie for you. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
